Welcome to my practice!

From Dr. Scott Debb
I’m Dr. Scott Debb, a cyber psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor. I am passionate about exploring the intersection of digital technology and mental health.
I have an applied clinical and counseling background and a deep interest in digital environments. I aim to understand how online interactions shape our behaviors, relationships, quality of life and well-being. My work brings me in direct contact with a wide variety of diverse people who need assistance managing the anxieties and demands of modern life, as well as organizations needing an expert consultant to work with their employees and stakeholders to focus on how cyberpsychology applies to their business practices.

My Journey
My journey into cyberpsychology began with a curiosity about how digital technology and cybersecurity influences our current lives; however, I started my academic journey at Pace University in NYC with a focus on business. I went on to study at the Adler School of Psychology (Adler University) in Chicago earning a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology, then completing a Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Supervision.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked with individuals and organizations to help them navigate the complexities of the digital age, from managing online stress to understanding the cyberpsychology behind social media use and reliance. My experience includes outpatient psychotherapy, academic research, interdisciplinary collaboration, business consulting and public speaking events.
- I prefer an individual approach to the patient
- We always work until the very end
- What counts is the right approach and commitment
My Approach
I take a holistic view of understanding what is causing difficulty and dysfunction based on your assessment of where you want your quality of life to be
I focus on your strengths as a mechanism to help you overcome the current obstacles in the way of your true success
I believe that the digital technologies we have at our disposal today can simultaneously be a tool for social connection and a source of stress. My approach combines evidence-based psychological principles with an understanding of the current digital landscape.
In therapeutic spaces, there is nothing more important than creating a safe and supportive environment where we can explore healthy and unhealthy behaviors both online and offline—IRL/AFK, including focusing on each person’s unique strengths to enhance their emotional resilience.
In academic and related professional spaces, my goal is to promote an awareness and understanding of cyberpsychology’s utility in everyday life and how its core principles apply to a wide variety of businesses and research applications.
